During the pandemic, I spearheaded a redesign initiative focused on inclusivity and accessibility. This endeavour presented a multifaceted challenge, requiring rapid response design to accommodate individuals with various cognitive challenges such as dyspraxia, Down syndrome, and visual impairments. Despite the added pressure of the pandemic, I prioritised conveying data quickly and clearly to ensure accessibility for all users.
Development and wireframes
I redesigned the Easy Read pattern and format to work in print, interactive PDF and be user-centred.
Prototype designs
Clickable design for testing as well as print production for UK distribution.
Inclusivity was my primary objective

By employing typographical hierarchy and adhering to clean design principles, we incorporate clear icons to convey instant information. This approach, backed by research and achieving a 100% success rate, has established itself as the Gold Standard design for NHS pandemic initiatives.
